QUINTANA ROO SIGNS KIWI PRO TRIATHLETE BEN HAMILTON
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 9, 2025) – Quintana Roo today announces the signing of long-distance triathlete Ben Hamilton to its roster of professional triathletes. The New Zealander will be riding Quintana Roo’s flagship triathlon bike, the V-PRi, as well as its new aero road model, the Service Course.
Hamilton, 26, from Auckland, New Zealand, is one of distance triathlon’s rising talents. He had a blistering rookie campaign in 2024, finishing 22nd in the IRONMAN pro series season highlighted by a third-place result at IRONMAN New Zealand that qualified him for the IRONMAN World Championships, a win at IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast and a runner-up result at IRONMAN 70.3 St. George.
Hamilton made his debut with Quintana Roo on the V-PRi at IRONMAN New Zealand March 1, recording a 4:19:45 bike split on the way to a seventh-place result with an impressive sub-eight-hour time of 7:59:32. Hamilton continues his season with a late March start at IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong before he heads to the Northern Hemisphere for a summer campaign in the United States, where he aims to compete at IRONMAN Texas North American Championships, and IRONMAN 70.3 St. George.
“I’m obviously very excited to be working with Quintana Roo,” Hamilton said. “I met the team in Kona last year, and I’d already seen the V-PRi and really, I felt I needed to be on the best bike on the market. With internal integration for hydration and storage, there’s nothing else to add to the bike. It clicks all the boxes, and the team has been great—I’m excited to connect with them at the races as the year goes on.”
