QUINTANA ROO SIGNS DANISH PRO TRIATHLETE KRISTIAN HØGENHAUG
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 12, 2025) – Quintana Roo today announces the signing of long-distance triathlete Kristian Høgenhaug to its roster of professional triathletes. The Danish pro will be riding Quintana Roo’s flagship triathlon bike, the V-PRi, and its new aero road model, the Service Course, and will be swimming in Quintana Roo’s range of wetsuits and swimskins.
Høgenhaug, 33, from Aarhus, Denmark, enters the 2025 race campaign with renewed energy and a high level of confidence. He finished third overall in the 2024 IRONMAN Pro Series, highlighted by a fourth-place result at IRONMAN Frankfurt, and a brilliant ninth-place overall finish at the IRONMAN World Championships in Kailua-Kona last year. In partnering with Quintana Roo, Høgenhaug is encouraged by the opportunity to improve his results—in testing, on the race course, and across the finish line.
“I wanted to work with a brand that’s fully dedicated to triathlon, not just a company that makes TT bikes, but one that lives and breathes triathlon,” Høgenhaug says. “Quintana Roo is built for triathletes, and I can feel that in every detail, from the bike design to the wetsuits. They’re constantly innovating, whether it’s aerodynamics or practical storage. It just felt like a brand that understands what I need as a triathlete.”
"We're thrilled to welcome Kristian to the Quintana Roo family,” says American Bicycle Group and Quintana Roo President Chris Pascarella. “We've been watching Kristian's progress for a few years, and after meeting him in Kona last year, were impressed with his drive to perform, as well as his desire to be part of our own development processes to make the best-performing products for triathletes. We're excited to have Kristian on our team as we continue to develop within our bike and swim categories, and are proud to support his journey as he aspires to even greater heights in triathlon."
Høgenhaug has been aero-testing aboard his new V-PRi, already earning gains he’s excited to employ this race season. “The aero test was really eye-opening, especially at race-specific power outputs,” he says. “That was a bit surprising, since my fit and position last year were already pretty fast. And what’s exciting is that I still have some areas to fine-tune in the cockpit, which I’m confident will unlock even more free speed.”
Høgenhaug kicks off his season at IRONMAN Texas on April 26th, with Challenge Samorin, IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman, IRONMAN Frankfurt and the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Marbella, Spain rounding out his schedule.
