ALL SPEED, NOTHING LESS: QUINTANA ROO DEBUTS SERVICE COURSE AERO ROAD BIKE
Chattanooga, TN (Jan. 29, 2025) — Quintana Roo is proud to introduce the Service Course, our fastest-ever UCI-legal aero road bike.
Road racing is changing. Speeds are increasing and attacks fly off the front the moment the flag drops. To compete at the highest level, racers need a bike that can maximize their potential. After decades of innovation and success in the no-holds-barred world of triathlon, we used every secret we learned to craft a bike that can compete against the world’s best race bikes with class-leading aerodynamics, impressively low weight, and razor-sharp handling.
Our engineers went into the wind tunnel to hunt for every gain and came out with a bike they call the “edgiest” they have ever designed. The Service Course relies on sharp edges and pronounced ridges, all purposefully placed and shaped to control airflow. The result is a bike at least 3.6 watts faster than its predecessor in all conditions.
The Service Course’s sharp leading edge is the key to its speed. The headtube is elongated and slimmed down, extending forward of the steerer into an efficient tapered point. A large chine molded into the bottom of the headtube helps recapture air disrupted by the fork legs, redirecting it rearward to reduce disruption. The fork features an increased axle-to-crown length and a wider stance to open up space around the front tire and improve airflow. The aero downtube is deeper and wider than ever to keep the air attached so it can be shuttled cleanly over the rear end.
While aero performance was the top priority, low weight, responsive handling, and versatility were also at the forefront. The top tube and seatstays are pared down extensively to reduce weight, while the carbon layup and wall thicknesses have been manipulated to save grams without sacrificing stiffness or responsiveness. A complete build with Venom Green paint, a SRAM RED 2x drivetrain, ENVE cockpit, and Zipp 454 NSW wheels weighs in at 16.1 lbs/7.3 kg (size M), making the Service Course one of the lightest aero bikes on the market.
We also used our experience designing the best-handling triathlon bikes to perfect the geometry and tuned it to suit wider modern tires. A forward riding position makes it easier for riders to maintain an aggressive aero position. It provides a stable, locked-in feel in a straight line but doesn’t hesitate to change direction or lean into corners. We wanted the Service Course to be on edge, without feeling twitchy—the perfect balance.
Tire clearance is generous with the ability to fit up to 36 mm tires. This gives the Service Course extra versatility to soar over rough cobbled sectors and unpaved roads as easily as smooth tarmac. A Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH), threaded T47A bottom bracket, and non-proprietary headset increase reliability and serviceability.
The Service Course also offers more customization options than any competitor. Athletes ordering online can select every component to get a dialed race setup right out of the box. To give riders the most fit and finish options, the Service Course is designed to be compatible with internally routed cockpits from FSA, Vision, or ENVE. Choose your ideal bar width, stem length, crank length, and wheels to build your race bike, your way.
The Quintana Roo Service Course is a master of solo breakaways and sprint finishes. It corners with surgical precision, remains stable in crosswinds, and responds instantly to rider inputs and accelerations. It’s light enough to conquer epic alpine climbs and capable enough to venture onto mixed terrain. Above all, it is an unmitigated joy to ride. It is your ultimate road racing weapon.
The Service Course is available in four sizes—XS, S, M, and L—with exciting new color options including Venom Green, Imola Red, and Blue Aegir. Pricing starts at $4,599/€4,999 at quintanarootri.com or through select Quintana Roo retailers. More information on the Service Course can be found below:
