1. QR is True to TriathlonQR founder and creator of Slowtwitch.com, Dan Empfield, invented the first triathlon specific bike and wetsuit under the Quintana Roo brand. To this day, QR has remained true to tri and releases innovative triathlon-specific products.
QR bikes were founded on the principle of creating a bike with the best fit, handling and ergonomics. Today, this is still our main focus and it makes us very happy to hear our customers and athletes rave about the comfort and stability of our bikes.

At QR, the team designing your products is a team of triathlon enthusiasts who happen to be experts at designing and manufacturing high-quality, high-performance triathlon bikes. QR’s CEO, Peter Hurley, is an active triathlete. He and his wife have completed many 70.3 and full-distance IRONMAN events— maybe even too many to count. In his free time you can find he and his wife training and enjoying rides together on their QR bikes—or even competing in IRONMAN relays with our QR customers.
2. When You Ride QR, You’re FamilyIf you’ve been riding a QR for a while, you’ll know that if we’re in attendance at your next IRONMAN or USA Triathlon event you can bring your QR bike to our expo tent for a free pre-race check and tune-up. Think of it as a “thank you” for being a part of our family.
If you ever need service help with your QR, please reach out to us directly. When it comes to QR bikes, no one knows them better—so we highly encourage you to reach out to us if you ever have any issues! We may end up directing you to a local bike shop but you’ll be armed with some knowledge from our QR experts, so you can be sure your bike is fixed up right the first time.
Original QR owners have their bikes backed by our Lifetime Warranty. All original QR owners are able to take advantage of crash replacement pricing in the event of a crash and accidental damage to your bike.
3. Buying a Bike Has Never Been EasierWe understand that purchasing a bike of this caliber is a big decision. To help you make the best investment and find the right fit, test your new QR bike for 30 days when you buy direct from us. If, within 30 days, you haven’t set every PR in the county or given your bike a cool name like “Minty” or “Shadow,” just contact us to start a return.

Our ProBox is specifically designed to ship your bike fully assembled. Upon receiving your bike you’ll need to rotate your bars to a desired position, install your seat post and front wheel—and you’re ready to ride. No expert mechanic skills needed. If you do need a bit of help, no worries, we have plenty of how-to videos to show you how things work.
*Size 56 & 58.5cm size bikes ship without the rear wheel installed.

Quintana Roo’s global HQ is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA—home to annual 70.3 and full-distance IRONMAN events. QR bikes are designed, assembled, and hand-painted using globally sourced materials at our Chattanooga facility where quality and attention to detail goes into each and every bike heading out to happy new customers.
