Our motto is "maximize your potential," and everything we do at Quintana Roo is to help athletes achieve their goals. We love seeing athletes succeed, whether that's by achieving personal bests or, in the case of Nancy Lynch, achieving her decade-long dream of winning and qualifying for Kona.
Earlier this week, we received an amazing letter from Nancy's coach and husband, Ed Rechnitzer, passing on the news of Nancy's success. Their joy and excitement are palpable, and what really made us smile is that Nancy achieved these amazing results on one of our bikes. With their permission, we've published Ed's letter below.
Victory at IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz
The bike is fast. She feels it. I see it.

I am writing to you to extend my heartfelt thanks for your support, personal attention, and flexibility you gave my athlete (and wife) Nancy Lynch with the procurement of a new V-PR this past year.
As her coach of 17 years (believe it or not, we are still married lol…), I can attest that this bike has made a positive difference in her performance. The Liv she was riding for a number of years was a game-changer. But this QR has put her on a whole new level.
One major aspect that has improved is her comfort on the bike. She had been suffering from chronic neck pain, accentuated more so as her training volume increased pre-IM races. Holding an aero position was painful, and she instinctively had to adjust her posture (less aero) to alleviate pain. Now, it’s all good, and she just loves riding it. The bike is fast. She feels it. I see it.
Now to the exciting news…
Nancy raced IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, this past Sunday. She won her AG and qualified for Kona this October!

Nancy exited the water 3rd, and after 52k on the bike, took command of the race, extending her lead at every time check thereafter and through the run.
It was so gratifying to see this performance in person, knowing how hard Nancy had worked over these past 10 years. She overcame two reconstructive surgeries (knee and shoulder) and the interference of COVID, and 3x 2nd-place IM finishes. She showed unwavering focus to win this race come hell or high water.
The smile says it all! A ten-year dream, project, ambition to reach the top step of an IM podium finally fulfilled, at her 13th IM on July 13th, to boot!
As a side note, Nancy also won her AG at the Oliver Half IRONMAN (in BC) earlier in June with another commanding performance. In both races, she had the fastest bike split in her AG.
I understand from Nancy that you will be in Kona as well this October. I hope there will be an occasion for us to meet. I know Nancy is looking forward to connecting with you again in person.
Many thanks again for making this bike accessible to her. It has made a difference.
Best regards,
Ed Rechnitzer
