OWEN PEDZ FINISHES IRONMAN 70.3 MALLORCA ON THE Service Route TRI
The age-group triathlon community is full of characters, and Owen Pedz is certainly someone who stands out. Maybe you’ve come across his incredible story before. If not, you're about to understand why we couldn't be prouder to have him in the Quintana Roo family.
Who Is Owen Pedz?
Owen Peddle is known to his followers as “Owen Pedz.” He is a former DJ from Newport, Wales, whose life took a remarkable turn when he decided to do something he didn’t believe he could do: become a triathlete. Starting his journey at 329 lbs, Owen set out to overhaul his life through running and endurance sport. He’s lived the true triathlete experience, with bad training days and hard-won breakthroughs. Through it all, his radical honesty has earned him a loyal following across Instagram and TikTok.
His goal now is to complete IRONMAN Wales in 2027, and IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca and IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea serve as key proving grounds along the way.
Why We Partnered With Pedz

At Quintana Roo, we build bikes for athletes who are serious about the pursuit. Pedz shows up, does the work, and refuses to quit. He is an athlete in every sense. It’s not about your starting point or your pace. It’s about maximizing potential.
Pedz lined up at IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca and crossed the finish line. Watch the full race documentary above, because he takes you through every moment of the journey: the nerves, the suffering, and what it felt like to earn that finish. We'll let the video speak for itself, but he shows us what’s possible when someone commits to changing their life, and his story reminds all of us why endurance sport matters. He embodies exactly what we believe triathlon is for.
The Quintana Roo Service Route Tri
We provided Pedz with a brand new Service Route Tri. This is a soon-to-be-released drop-bar triathlon bike engineered to balance a comfortable endurance position, agile handling on technical and hilly courses, and race-ready aerodynamics. It’s perfect for a course like Mallorca, with its demanding terrain.
The Service Route Tri is built for athletes who need a race bike that can go the distance and handle whatever the course throws at them, and it’s exactly the kind of machine an athlete like Pedz needs as he builds toward his full potential.
Mallorca is just one chapter. With IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea on the horizon and IRONMAN Wales in 2027 as the ultimate goal, Pedz’s journey is far from over. We're honored to be part of it, and we can't wait to see what comes next. Follow Pedz and his exploits on his Service Route Tri on Instagram @owenpedz and @quintanarootri.
