One of New Zealand’s rising talents, Ben took his pro card in 2023 after years cutting his teeth in the age group, but became one of Australasia’s strongest cyclists after a respite in the pro continental road racing ranks, taking on stage races throughout Belgium, Norway, New Zealand, Canada and China. With several road race and individual time trial results, including a runner-up result in the TT at the U23 New Zealand National Championships.
For his cycling prowess, he’s shown exceptional balance through the other disciplines, with a strong swim and run that has made him a true threat for the win at any start line.
In 2026, the Hawaii IRONMAN World Championships is his focus. With a few IRONMAN 70.3 events early season (Boise and Sunshine Coast, a race Ben has won in the past) and a crack at qualifying to be decided, this Kiwi is on the hunt for Kona heat.
